A 300,000-ton floating dock has broken ground at Bluewater Group! This marks a major breakthrough in China's ability to repair and build ultra-large ships.
In December 2025, Bluewater Group celebrated two major achievements. On the 25th, construction began on a 300,000-ton floating dock at Bluewater Group's Nantong base. This marks Bluewater Group's final project for 2025, following the commencement of construction on a world-leading Norwegian high-end aquaculture equipment project at its Jieyang base on December 15th.

The floating dock was built and used by Shanghai COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., with the main structure constructed at Bluewater Group's Nantong base. Bluewater will strictly adhere to contract requirements, cooperate with the owner and ship inspection agencies, meet regulatory requirements, work closely together, maintain integrity in shipbuilding, and deliver precisely, contributing Bluewater's strength to the leap of China's shipbuilding and marine engineering industry towards the field of ultra-large equipment.
