On January 7, 2025, Blueocean Wind Group and Baosteel Group held a grand signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai, with senior leaders from both sides attending and witnessing this milestone moment.
Blueocean Wind, was established in 1996 and is a group company specializing in the design and manufacturing of marine wind power foundation, marine oil and gas equipment, marine fishery and ranch equipment, clean energy gas tanks, low-temperature liquid cargo tanks, special pipe processing, and other related services. There are construction bases in Nantong, Yancheng, Beihai, Yangjiang, Jieyang, Zhanjiang, with an annual steel consumption of over 1 million tons. Baosteel Group is the flagship subsidiary of China Baowu Steel Group, It is the largest and most modern steel joint venture in China, leading the supply of high-end products such as steel for ship, energy, and marine.
According to the strategic cooperation agreement, both parties will engage in in-depth cooperation in multiple fields. In terms of product supply, Baosteel Group will provide high-quality marine steel and special steel to Blueocean Wind Group to meet its raw material needs in equipment manufacturing such as offshore wind power and offshore oil and gas, ensuring the stability and timeliness of supply. In terms of technological research and development, both parties will jointly carry out research on new materials and processes for steel used in marine engineering, improve the corrosion resistance, strength and other properties of steel to meet the requirements of complex marine environments and high-end equipment manufacturing.
